Lipo Suction

Lipo suction removes excess fat deposits from the body. The removal of fat is done by making small incisions, usually no more than 2 cm long, in the area to be treated. The Lipo Suction Process 1. Anesthesia: General anesthesia, local anesthesia and intravenous (IV) sedation are some to the medications that my be administered to make the patient comfortable. 2. Incision: Once the patient is ready, one or more small incisions will be made in the target areas. 3. Fluid injection: For wet, super-wet and tumescent liposuction, the doctor will infuse a sterile solution to ease the removal of fat and to prevent excess trauma and bleeding. The patient may also be hooked up to an IV line to prevent excessive fluid loss. 4 Fat removal: The doctor will use a cannula (hollow tube) and an aspirator (suction device) to remove the desired amount of subcutaneous fat. The length of the procedure will vary with the amount of fat being removed. 5. Recovery: The doctor put in stitches to close the wound and the patient will be advised not to engage in any strenuous physical activity for the next few weeks at least. The patient will probably experience bruising, soreness sand swelling.

Lipo suction usually takes one to two hours per area and most patients do not need hospitalized unless there is medical illness that needs observation or complications arise. Although the lipo suction process may be quick, there are side-effects and risks. Be sure to know more about the risks before deciding on lipo suction. Lipo suction should be coupled with a healthy lifestyle, as it is not a treatment for weight control, obesity or stretch marks.
